Public Preview: TextPII NextGen Playground updates in Microsoft Foundry

In public preview, Microsoft Foundry now offers an updated TextPII NextGen Playground with a refreshed API Configuration Panel, including preview features introduced at Ignite 2025. This update lets developers test predefined PII categories, redaction modes, and language settings interactively before integrating the API into production workflows. By providing a single interactive environment to validate configurations against sensitive text inputs, the playground reduces the learning curve for new preview capabilities and helps teams govern the AI lifecycle by catching misconfigurations early. The experience supports common PII detection scenarios such as document sanitization, transcript redaction, and dataset preparation for analytics. Preview availability and exact configuration options may evolve before general availability. To get started, open the TextPII playground in Microsoft Foundry and explore the updated configuration panel.
