Public Preview: Voice sync for avatar support in Voice Live API in Microsoft Foundry

In public preview, Microsoft Foundry now supports avatar voice sync with custom voices in the Voice Live API, allowing developers to pair branded or persona-specific text-to-speech voices with real-time avatar experiences. This update helps teams building virtual agents, digital humans, and immersive customer engagement scenarios preserve their existing voice identity while taking advantage of low-latency, lip-synced avatar rendering, removing the previous limitation that restricted avatar pairing to a curated voice set. By unifying custom voices and avatars in a single low-latency pipeline, the capability reduces integration complexity for live conversational scenarios such as kiosks, retail assistants, and accessibility experiences. As a preview, regional availability and configuration semantics may continue to evolve before general availability. To get started, configure your custom voice and avatar in the Microsoft Foundry Voice Live API and review the updated avatar guidance in the documentation.
