Batch computing

AWS Batch now publishes job metrics to Amazon CloudWatch

AWS Batch now publishes job metrics to Amazon CloudWatch, providing native observability for batch workloads. AWS Batch emits metrics throughout the job lifecycle, giving you visibility into job queue health, failure rates, and job durations.

AWS Batch now supports Amazon EKS access entry authentication

AWS Batch now supports Amazon EKS access entry authentication for compute environments. EKS access entries provide an API-driven approach to granting IAM principals access to Kubernetes clusters, complementing the existing aws-auth ConfigMap.

AWS Batch now supports bulk job cancellation and termination

AWS Batch now supports bulk job cancellation and termination, enabling you to cancel or terminate up to 50 jobs with a single API call.

A workaround has been added for the known issue that jobs might fail when specifying Compute Engine (or custom) VM OS images with outdated kernels.

AWS Batch now supports Amazon ECS Managed Instances

AWS Batch now supports Amazon ECS Managed Instances (ECS MI) as a new compute option, enabling you to run GPU-accelerated and compute-intensive batch workloads on AWS-managed infrastructure.
