Generally Available: Additional support for OpenTelemetry destinations (New Relic, Dynatrace, Elastic)

Azure Container AppsAzure · Compute

Azure Container Apps enhances its OpenTelemetry (OTel) capabilities by expanding support for third-party observability platforms. This update introduces additional endpoint options for commonly used monitoring tools such as New Relic, Dynatrace, and Elastic, extending the existing managed OpenTelemetry experience with simpler setup for additional third-party observability platforms.

This update makes it easier to send logs, metrics, and traces to more destinations without deploying or managing your own agents. Teams can now use a more consistent OpenTelemetry-based pipeline across Azure Monitor, Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Elastic, and OTLP-compatible endpoints, with less configuration overhead and more flexibility to route telemetry where they need it, including support for OTLP/HTTP endpoints, enabling integration with any OpenTelemetry-compatible backend.
